I really like having little activities to do with my little. He's becoming more and more interested in what I want to do (LOL!!) so it inspired me to make another quick subitizing game, a little more toddler friendly.
Have you read One is a snail, Ten is a Crab? I really love this book. Fun counting and great pictures. It gets into skip counting, but that doesn't matter if your little is not ready for it (but great for older "littles"!). My little had fun reading it. Like I said, the pictures are very engaging. Click the pic to find it on Amazon! This is how it started for us. We read the book, then I printed some snail pictures. We kind of played my subitizing sillies game. That inspired me to make this Subi-Snails game (see what I did there??) |
We just matched dots to snails, and even added some real seashells and puzzle pieces to it. Hey, whatever works! I also try to work with the attention span of an almost 3 year old. :) I made this game to continue to play with the snails (he really seems to enjoy them) and to continue mixing it up. Click the pic to grab one (big sale coming Aug.20!) We were also having a snack, in case you noticed. ahem. |
I'm also up 3 more followers at my store. EEEK! It's the little things :)
Hope you enjoy the game- let me know what you think!
TTYL ;)
Ooooooo.....As I'm typing, i'm thinking of adding a science aspect to it (snails, magnifying glasses, oh my!). My nieces are all about science stuff. But I must get to bed...stay tuned!
